The past month or so, I’ve become more acquainted with the farm and - given my horrible sense of direction - have finally built an internal map and more or less know my way around.

I’ve taken nearly a million photos, gone on many walks, and slowly adopted several favourite trees. I even think perhaps the sheep have started to recognise me (though probably they just thought I had food).

Over the next month, I will be helping to re-vamp the prayer walk around the farm in preparation for the season of Lent leading up to Easter. As I begin this creative process, I took my Polaroid camera on one of my walks. I leave you with copies of those photos, and a poem by Wendell Berry.

Anna Yearwood - Artist in Residence

I am a studio artist based in Oxford, drawing inspiration from the intellectual and cultural environment of this extraordinary city. My art explores the beauty in the everyday, expanding notions of home and hospitality, and the intersections between art and theology.
